Emerge, in partnership with Fountain Network announced that the “Emerge Young Adults Retreat” will be held on a farm near Mattishall, Mid-Norfolk from 2nd – 4th September.
The aim of the event is to foster and grow unity, community, and fellowship between the young adults of the county from all denominations.
Taking inspiration from the popular Intents camp for 11-16 year olds, the retreat is set to be a weekend of worship, teaching, and fellowship for the 20s/30s age bracket, that has an organic and close family feel, a mature and open approach to faith, and Jesus at its heart.
The event will include worship, teaching and ministry and an innovative seminar system, all at an accessible price.
Confirmed speakers so far are:
Jessica Regnarnt – National Director for Young Adults at Freedom In Christ Ministries
Stephen Mawditt – Director Of the Fountain Network

More to come!
Retreat Weekend For 18 – late 30s | Mid Norfolk | Camping and None Camping | Worship, Teaching, Seminars
Adam Jackson, who is organising the event said, “For the Emerge Network, the dream is that no one of the ‘lost generation’- aged 18 – late 30s- would feel that they are the only person of their age within the church. Our aim is that young adult small groups that already happen all around Norfolk would be able to connect those who do not have a regular place of fellowship, and discipleship, with their peers without any expectation to leave their Sunday place of worship.”
There will be a choice of seminars over the weekend, with a choice between theological topics where participants can dig deeper into the Word with some passionate Bible teachers, and a more practical option with life application, with particular focus on life as a young adult in modern Christian life, dealing with issues such as relationships, money, and meaning.
Adam said, “There will also be meetings in the evening, with speakers, and time for worship and prayer, with the ultimate objective of, alongside the seminars, equipping young adults in effective mission and ministry in their local area, and daily lives.”
Speakers are drawn from a variety of churches and denominations, to reflect the unity and community of the Emerge network.
There will also be plenty of opportunity for mingling and community throughout the weekend, with a variety of activities and a Café/Bar being planned for people to meet and connect.
Whilst the retreat will run from the Friday to the Sunday, people will be welcome to come and go as they wish, with camping space available onsite, and holiday homes nearby, for those wishing to stay overnight for some or the entire weekend.
The total cost of the weekend will be £25 per person.
